  • SHOTSHOW 2007

    SHOTSHOW 2007
Took me a little bit, but here is a nice media dump of my recent shotshow adventure. Was great to meet a lot of digital personalities in person finally. I even snuck in some video interviews, sorry my gear wasn't the greatest, but I hope to improve camera and have a sound man next year. I'll start with youtube links, however will have higher res wmvs for those interested.

Aimpoint: New CompM4 and Micro T1

Comp M4 holds AA batteries for ease of compatibility and epic run times. The lil micro buddy is great for shotguns and pistols. A great compromise for size and viewspace.

  • SHOTSHOW 2008

I brought more Army Game buddies with me this year to try and step it up a notch. I didn't do as many photos, but made a mean batch of product video demos for you guys. As usual the shotshow experience is awesome, yet extremely tiring. In true Vegas spirit, half my crew almost didn't survive the Surefire party. I wish the show had more days so I could spend more time checking out all of the great stuff there.

    5.11 Tactical:

5.11 is breaking out from mostly clothing to many tactical based items. I can't talk about everything they are up to, but check out the videos for their latest goodies.

  • SHOTSHOW 2009

I was able to get the crew back together and make it to Shot all the way down in Orlando. People actually friggn' scheduled this time to we were some busy mo-fos! As usual, wish we had more time to see all the great new stuff. Youtube fortunately has HD capability now so look for "Watch in HD" in blue text under the video interface.

I slacked photos pretty hard, but here is a quick dump gallery for those interested:

As for the videos, I'm slammed work wise so if you want to see pretty thumbnails, just check out my youtube page: <MSM YOUTUBE PAGE>

Finally had a chance to process all the friggn media. As always Vegas does not disapoint. Having to run around to get videos setup can be a bit of a drain, but seeing all the cool people and gear is always a blast. I always wish there were more days so I can see more stuff! It certainly rained a lot for being a desert. Apparently is abnormal as our glamourous Imperial Palace Hotel parking lot was flooded the majority of the time. Nothing says class like walking into a Chinese theme'd hotel casino with Kung Fu Fighting playing. I'd post a big string of youtube embeds, but that may slow some computers down so just drop on by my channel:

Tear and I had a chance to double fist photo duty to give a good assortment your way:

And as a special treat we stayed an extra day with our new buddies and hooked up with www.bentwoodgunsmithing.com and www.deserthillsshootingclub.com to get a sweet grab bag of weapons familiarization on. If you end up in the area, don't be shy as the general public can arrange to have the same treatment!

Ahh, slow as usual, but we always come though. It was a nice change to not be rained on the whole time (in the friggn desert no less). For a new frustration, phones especially sucked on the show floor this year where I would have been better off with smoke signals. We still managed to make a good pile of videos, but always wish there was more time to see all the cool new stuff. If I had to summarize this year's theme into one word, I'd say it would be: ambidextrous. As a high note we managed to be cool enough to make it to the Crye party this year, 80s sitcom zombies on go-carts, how ya gonna get anymore rad than that!? Check out the ol' youtube channel for the video blitz:

I'm still trying to milk my old HD camera, but we tried some dual camera action this year.

My ol' buddy Pye came along this time to rock out on the still pics, and Tear helped out again as well:

  • SHOTSHOW 2012

Finally got most media processed! Check out vids in my usual channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/milspecmonkey and bonus photo gallery: http://milspecmonkey.com/gallery/shotshow2012/

Even slower than usual, but making sure to get the media on up. Shotshow went overall smooth this year, no crazy rainstorms and better wireless service. Scored a cold as usual from the handshake factory, but thems just part of the experience at this point. Summary words of the show, I'd say: Light-Weight and Zombies. Check out my youtube channel for the usual pile, made it all the way up to 3 cameras this year.

My ol' buddy Pye came along this time to rock out pics again, and hope to add another gallery up soon.
