MAXPEDITION - 6" x 9" Padded Pouch

Details
Category: Pouches
Created: Saturday, 17 October 2009 05:38

DIMS: 6" wide x 9"+ tall x 3" thick
Frontal loop field: 3" x 4"

This pouch is now around to expand the Maxpedition padded line for those who want something in more of a large GP size. At this size you can get into larger electronics such as hand camcorders. Of course feel free to get crafty and fit whatever items you want inside to have a cushy ride. If attached directly to the body the padding can also make wearing more comfortable for long hauls. The main opening double zippers are done reversed style and work nice and smooth.

They go down about two thirds the way to create a good sized opening and webbing tabs are also on the end for zipper pull points or attach points. The webbing for these tabs travels along the bottom with an offset drainage gromet to allow extra lashing options. I'm not sure of the design intent, but there is loop velcro in the interior bottom of each pouch. The front has 5 channels of PALS (9" tall) With a good dose of loop velcro for your favorite patch. The back has a full set of PALS for the most mounting options. 5" Tac Ties or similar are recommended for mounting. Since it is a tall pouch, they hang down from the attachment point, however this adds some flexibility when mounted to a body. There aren't a lot of MIL padded pouches these days so this 6x9 one makes for a solid option.
