More treats from ze Germans offer up another variant of the popular modular chest rig design. PALS sizing is a solid 18 channels x 3 rows, but it should be noted the channel spacing is out of spec and closer to 1.25" wide rather than 1.5". I'll guess this is due to SIERRA 313 using MALICE clips for all PALS attaching so less room is needed. For those with tradition Natick snap pouches you likely will need to use tools to mount as the snaps are bulkier.
Some other unique features include a generous piece of loop velcro on the upper portion, shoulder straps, and a little piece on the back. The shoulder straps also have D-rings and PALS webbing for further mounting and routing options. As a small con the main should straps are sewn to the rest of the rig with multiple straight stitches rather than a box stitch which would be preferred just in case the rig needs to be drag-man capable. To give further holding options, the whole top front is a zipper pocket with beefy YKK zippers. The inside is sewn to create 3 sections which is nice organization wise and to not let the rig get too floppy when unzipped. All the main straps have SRBs to make taking on and off easier. The waist strap however only has 1 SRB on the left side (while wearing). All materials used are heavy duty and mil-spec making this unit battle ready. Great for use as a lightweight rig worn over clothes or to give easier on / off capability when worn on top of armored vests.
