MAXPEDITION New Foliage color: MCAP

Maxpedition now carries Foliage Green color options on some of their products. This way users can still look Army Strong when deployed, but doesn't have the high-profile look of ACU/UCP when integrating back with the civies. Here are some quick pictures so you can see where the tone lies on the ACU scale. It appears for at least the MCAP they use a new ACU color matched snazzy Maxpedition logo.
Check out Maxpedition's latest update link for a list of the products now available in Foliage:

MAXPEDITION Wallets / ID Carriers:

MAXPEDITION Micro Wallet

Details
Category: Pouches
Created: Monday, 12 November 2007 07:33

DIM: 4.5" x 3"

Super streamlined wallet for those who have exactly what they need and nothing more. Inside there is a clear vinyl (diffused) area for ID and 2 slots on the other side. Typically one will be used for cards and the other for money. Money must be folded to fit. Exterior has a slot pocket on the back good for quick access to cards or money, but less secure. Good for when you want a non-bulge low-profile wallet.

MAXPEDITION Urban Wallet

DIM: 4.5" x 3" x 0.75" thick

Similar to the Micro wallet, but has more depth in the money slot pocket. Inside there is a clear vinyl (diffused) area for ID and 2 slots on the other side. The larger of the pockets can hold up to 15 business cards or a nice wad o cash. I don't have it to test, but slim cell phones like the Motorola Razr are claimed to fit in this pocket as well. Like the Micro, the exterior has a slot pocket, but the Urban also includes a webbing strap with velcro connection to secure the wallet when packed full. The Urban works well as a slim wallet, but has more room to expand when required.

DIM: Closed- 5.5" x 3.5" x 0.5"
DIM: Open- 9" x 5.5" x 0.3"

The Spartan is Maxpedition's go at a medium size wallet for their line. It isn't huge, but is a little tall due to having 2 money slot areas.

MAXPEDITION Neatfreak Organizer

Details
Category: Packs/Bags
Created: Wednesday, 03 October 2007 07:28

DIM: Main: 11" (L) x 9" (W) x 3" (Thick)

With a quick overlook of the Neatfreak, the hard use every day carry (EDC) user seems to be the demographic the design caters to, however some extra features allow dual use for MIL/LEO applications. The overall shape is similar to a Remora, but they are quite different pieces of kit.

BLACKHAWK Warrior Wear 3 layer Jacket System

Details
Category: Clothing
Created: Tuesday, 04 September 2007 05:29

Blackhawk recently expanded the warrior wear line which includes this snazzy 3 layer jacket system. Each layer is designed to be used on its own or used in any combination with the other layers. As you might guessed, layer 1 gives the lightest element protection and layer 3 gives the most. The materials and constuction used are quite modern resulting in a functional and styln' system. Each layer is sized appropriately for layering so one doesn't need to worry about different sizes. I have a full 3 layer set of smalls and I was pleased how well they fit on top of each other. This is accomplished with layer 1 being semi-fitted, layer 2 casual, and layer 3 baggy.

LA POLICE GEAR Operator Boots

LAPoliceGear.com has been expanding their own product line recently including footwear with the addition of the Operator Boots. The design goal was to make a lightweight boot that has the durability operators expect, but at a great price. I'll have to agree LA Police Gear did just that. To be fair on this review, let me warn you that I got the smallest possible, size 7, but I'm about a 6.5 area. Thus I wear double socks or add in odor pads to get the fit I need.
