SUREFIRE Z2 LED Holster Kit

Details
Category: Illumination
Created: Tuesday, 17 March 2009 03:35

I snagged one of these fun packs at shotshow to check out. Included in the kit is the Z2 LED with batteries, 3 additional batteries to go in the holster, a hex bar to adjust the holster, and to top it off, a lanyard setup. If you liked the original Z2, the LED version is a pretty rockn' upgrade going from the original 65 lumens for 1 hour battery time to a crazy 80 lumens for 11 hours. Looking at those numbers just want to make you go DAMN! It was on the original Z2, but the syringe grip adds great gripping options when using with pistols and helps make a mean grip when extracting out of the holster.

Despite it takes up more space, the fancy holster is a crap load faster to use than traditional pouches. Additionally the holster is nicely adjustable for cant/angle and belt size. Adjusting for belt size appears a bit complex at first, however is just a combination of placement of a width clip and use of the belt clip. Lefties don't worry as the mounting base can be removed and placed on either side for ambidextrous capability. For battery storage I recommend either go all in with 3 or all out. Having just 1 or 2 will cause noise during running. I also recommend practicing removing the batteries since if you try for your first time in a stressful situation, it likely won't go over very well. Other than that, I can't think of a whole bunch else to say. This kit includes all you need to get your serious tactical light on.
