Packs/Bags

MAXPEDITION AGGRESSOR TACTICAL ATTACHÉ:

Details
Category: Packs/Bags
Created: Tuesday, 11 November 2008 06:55

Dimensions:
Main compartment: 17" wide x 13" high x 5" thick
Large pocket: 10" x 6" x 2" with slip pocket and ID holder
Med Flap pocket: 9" x 6" x 2" with velcro loop field on lid
Small flap pockets (2): 4" x 4" x 2"
Padded organizer pocket: 16" x 12" x 2"

Due to the popularity of the Operator Tactical Attaché this new Aggressor version has been created to offer the same great features in a overall larger size. The end result is a beefy sized shoulder bag that is highly tactical capable. The pocket divisions are very similar to the operator pack, but I'll break it down again for those unfamiliar with the original operator version.

On the pocket heavy side, The vertical pocket is a good general purpose pouch size and has an ID window flap that seals with velcro. Under this flap is a bonus sleeve pocket. The main area of this pocket opens with double zippers and the interior front has another sleeve pocket. Next up is the lower horizontal pocket which uses a velcro sealed flap with loop velcro on the exterior for your patch desires. The inside has elastic loops great for pistol mags, flashlights, multitools and more. The 2 smaller pockets are somewhat grenade sized, but they can work great for electronic power supplies, medical goods, and anything else that will fit in there. They use velcro flaps as well. Behind all these pockets is a CCW area that has a D-ring to help open up the velcro seal. Inside this area is a generous amount of loop velcro to add modular attachments like holsters and mag holders.

The opposite side is one big double zippered area that unzips down most of the way, but not a full clamshell style. A snap loop is nearby to secure these zippers if desired. The flap itself is padded with a loop velcro area on the exterior and the interior back is an organizational sleeve fiesta. This area is great for holding paperwork and writing utensils, but hell if you wanted to you can fit a smaller laptop in here. Above this large pocket are some velcro loops that I guess are used to hold beatsticks and large flashlights. Since I use neither they kinda get in the way of the zippers by getting in the way of the handle so I plan to cut them off. The ends of the Aggressor have large tube pockets, one optimized to hold a water bottle and the other for large radios. One can mix and match as they wish, but the hydration side appropriately has a grommet for drainage and a thicker bungee flap. While down there it can be noted the bottom of the core bag has non-slip material for grip and enhanced water protection.

The main big show compartment of this bag opens with double zippers which now have lock-able sliders. A snap loop is included on the exterior to secure the zippers when not locked. The interior is minimal with the exception of the included modular panel. This tear-out panel has one side covered in loop velcro for more CCW options and the other has sleeve pockets for slim organization. The panel is pretty big so if desired one can fit a LOT of goodies upon it. This main compartment is now large enough to hold larger laptops around 17" in size. To carry, one can use the webbing handles or the included shoulder strap. A shoulder pad is even provided which will certainly be appreciated if one loads this pack on up. The shoulder straps still use plastic snap hooks which seem a little dinky, but I have not had any issues with them yet.

For those who have been packing their Operator bags to the max, I would definitely recommend checking out the Aggressor. Although not much is new besides the size change, it is still a solid design. The size is about the maximum for a shoulder bag to be practical, any bigger and it would start to become overly cumbersome. On the flip side, those who are more geek than tactician will also appreciate the Aggressor to be able to hold larger gaming and performance laptops along with all the accessories.
